In September I had the privilege to do an engagement shoot for  Christina Theodorou and her fiance, Terry, all the way from Australia. We did the photo shoot at the beautiful Kapama Buffalo Camp near Hoedspruit. When I arrived in the early afternoon it was still very overcast but an hour later almost all the clouds disappeared and we had very good light to work with until after sunset. It was the couple’s first visit to lovely South Africa and I could see and hear that they enjoy the African bush very much. They told me about all the animals they saw and they were very excited about the photo shoot. We managed to get a couple of great photos in the camp area itself and after that, we head out into the bush for another couple of photos before and during sunset. The sunset was perfect and Terry told me afterwards that this photoshoot and sunset is one that he will probably never forget. Back at the camp, after sunset, we played around with different light techniques using the lamps that the camp use to lighten up the pathways for the guests. We had a great time. I had to rush to get the editing done and to send the disc to Capetown before the couple fly back to Australia. Luckily they received it on time and they are very happy with the photos they received. Below are a couple of my favourite photos….
